Guess who goes looking for his hat. Yeppers! The big sleeping fish, that’s who!

Setting:
The dark waters where the little fish, the big sleeping fish, and the crab live.

Genre/Theme/Style: Children’s Picture Book. Dark Humor. The pictures are simple and understated but tell important parts of the story. The artwork adds subtle emotions to the characters and greatly enlivens the story.

 4 Roars! 🦁🦁🦁🦁

Why 4 Roars? Well, it might be a little too dark for some children. Some children might be shocked by little Fish’s behavior, while others might find it funny and mischievous. However, parents of young, impressionable readers might decide to give this book a read before passing it into little hands.

Critical Analysis: Hold onto your hats! The book touches on the dark side of the little fish’s character with no hesitation. It dives right into the depths of morality and respect for other people’s property in an artistic kind of way. It allows young readers to use their own powers of deduction to figure out what happened to the little fish once the big sleeping fish found him.
